FLO-BOND And FLO-BOND PLUS
(Feed and Ingredient Additives)

FLO-BOND is a select, high affinity sorbent Hydrated Sodium Calcium Aluminosilicate (HSCAS) which is used in animal feeds and ingredients. It's use has been proven world wide when molds, caking, and flowability are problems. After a mold grows, it leaves behind toxins, which may be detrimental to animal and bird performance. Mycotoxins left from mold growths may be bound and pass thru the digestive system for a safe to use feed or ingredient when FLO-BOND is used to treat the feed or ingredient. (GRAS listed)

FLO-BOND PLUS is FLO-BOND with Buffered Propionic Acid. The buffered acid addition offers extra protection for those who wish to inhibit the growth of molds and resulting toxins. FLO-BOND PLUS has no acid smell, and does not cause equipment corrosion.

FLO-BOND IS SAFE TO USE IN RATIONS AND INGREDIENTS FOR ALL

LIVESTOCK AND POULTRY, WHEN CAKING, FLOWABILITY, AND MOLDS

WITH THEIR RESULTING TOXINS ARE PROBLEMS.

Mycotoxins are the end result of molds growing on feedstuffs. When ingested by animals, if at high enough levels, certain mycotoxins usually result in a decline or reduction in bird and/or animal performance, such as rate of gain, feed conversion, breeding performance, and in some cases death. The first problem usually observed is reduced feed consumption.

We cannot and do not make claims for the ability of FLO-BOND to prevent or bind mycotoxins. However, we can show trial results where mycotoxin levels have been reduced in feeds and feedstuffs when FLO-BOND was used as part of the ration. One observation we have noted is that unlike other binding products, FLO-BOND does demonstrate it's effectiveness on a very wide range of mycotoxins, and it's suggested use level is about 1/2 the amounts other products require.

FLO-BOND'S GREATER CATIONIC EXCHANGE CAPACITY:

Cationic Exchange Capacity (CEC) is a means of detecting the amount of exchangeable cations in soil and clay chemistry. CEC is reported in millequivalents per 100 Gms. of dry clay. The Base Saturation takes the total CEC (60 or 98 meq) in some other products, and makes them less efficient (25 to 50%) of the binding capacity of FLO-BOND. In-vetro tests do not always indicate effectiveness in live animals, but are good guidelines.

FLO-BOND USE RATE:

Laboratory and field trials have shown only 5 pounds of FLO-BOND per ton (2.5 Kg./ metric ton) to be very effective. This is about 1/2 the level suggested by other competitive products.

TYPICAL CHEMICAL ANALYSIS:

The following chart represents an average of many laboratory and field trial results showing the binding power of FLO-BOND on Mycotoxins. We feel this demonstrates the wide range of effectiveness FLO-BOND offers.

CALIFORNIA BROILER FEEDING TRIAL

A test using male chicks thru 4 weeks of age, and test rations with 2500 ppm Aflatoxin B1 added, plus FLO-BOND at the levels shown. One group was the control, another was control plus Aflatoxin, and the other groups were control plus Aflatoxin plus FLO-BOND.

These results help show why only 5 pounds per ton (.25%) is the suggested use level.

FLO-BOND PLUS

A leading Midwestern U.S. feed manufacturer tested FLO-BOND PLUS in feeds made at their plants as well as feeds made on local farms. The use rate was 5 Lb. per ton and the samples were held for 30 days at 80'F and 80% humidity before being analyzed.

PACKAGING:     FLO-BOND AND FLO-BOND PLUS are available in 25 kg, 50 Lb.,
and 100 Lb. bags, plus 2000 Lb. bulk bags.

NOTE:
FLO-BOND and FLO-BOND PLUS contain small amounts of sodium, calcium, potassium, and other mineral oxides. These are in very minute amounts and should not affect formulation.
